Pepper Green Village

Pepper Green Village is located right on the banks of the Kabini River. You are treated to a feast of virgin forests, lakes, waterfalls, fauna and flora, and great nature around. On one side is a long range of paddy fields, too. The greenery around is what tourists flock here for. There are more than 200 trees and flowering bushes, vines of pepper and spices. Some of the cottages are built around trees, so you’ll find a nice branch or two of a tree inside your cottage.

Accommodation consists of eight splendid cottages – Cardamom, Stevia, Cassia, Mint, Lavender, Ginger, Garlic and Saffron – named after spices. Stevia is a suite that overlooks the Kabini river, and is made entirely in wood and bamboo. This tree house has a lounge, a spacious bedroom, an attached balcony and a loft. Cinnamon stands on a raised platform more thsn 20 feet above the ground with three trees going right through the bedroom. Ginger and Garlic are traditional tree houses. Saffron and Lavender are ground cottages, which are equipped with a kitchenette.

The tree-top walkway made of wood and bamboo is perfect for an evening climb or a morning walk. The walkway connects Cassia and Cinnamon with Stevia. There are many places where you can sit down and relax, read a book, or watch birds and butterflies. The resort has internet facilities, offerse guides for local tours, and has cab services and a doctor-on-call.

Kuruvadweep is just a short 15-minute walk away. It is a repertoire of endemic birds, butterflies and animals. You can fish at the river, go swimming or light up a bonfire. Boat riding and bamboo-rafting are other options to relax. The resort will also organise trips to Muthanga wildlife sanctuary, Edakkal caves, Chembra Peak, Pookott Lake, Meenmutty Waterfalls and other spots in Wayanad and around.
