Boating is the main activity at this lake. There's a boat club, too, here. There is a handicraft shop near the boat club, from where you can buy bamboo items, coffee, honey and spices. Pookot Lake is a freshwater lake famous for natural springs. There's also a children's park and a freshwater aquarium. The lake is only 15km from Kalpetta and 3km from Vythiri.
